"Fame Games"

"Definitely one of the best bands on Fame Games at the moment, much of
the appeal of whom lies in the absolute prowess of the lead singer,
who is thoroughly outstanding, and instantly identifiable. Musically,
the band also stand out, as their sound and songs sound like nothing
else, which, this far into the rock and roll lifetime, is an amazing
feat! I´d buy this band´s material, no question."
Ken Morrison, 2007 & 2008 Fame Games best reviewer award.

"I could enjoy listening to that all day. This is an excellent example
of how versatile this singer can be for a start; I think this guy can
sing anything."
Graham Keeling about Thursday Morning Waking. Fame Games judge panel.

"Radios"

"Could After The Ice be the next Pink Floyd, the next Deep Purple?"
DJ Crier, ABC's Fame Games Radio host.

"If we've been talking about music sort of actually touching you, then
I've gotta go for After The Ice.[...] I think it's done so well, great
lead vocal and a beautiful song. It's After The Ice for me. It's one
pound because it's quality."
Sid Olivera about Thursday Morning Waking. ABC Radio.

"MMI"

"I think that this kind of art rock thing, it always has an audience
you know. Personally I very much like the vocal; I think it was very
good. I like the melodic idea of the song.[...] A very artistic kind
of approach to music."
Paul Sedkowski about It Happens All The Time. Mere Music International founder. - MMI

Bio

“After The Ice”, a London-based rock band that could be described in turn as both indie and psychedelic, but with an equally strong feel for the mainstream, having good cross over songs in their catalogue.

This trio features Paul Lisak on guitar and vocals, Hamzah Bashir-Khan on bass and Laurent Frodello on drums.

They’ve been together for two years now (early 2007) and have since recorded their debut EP at the Way studio in London, as well as producing a video with PTE Media to accompany their debut single “It Happens All The Time”.

The band has been touring solidly for the past 12 months, working with London promoters the likes of Feed me Music, and playing in venues such as the Clapham Grand, the 229, the Sound and the O2 Carling Academy in Islington, London. Though they love the studio, their sound and energy truly come alive on stage.

2008 culminated in two major events for the band

The first was winning one of the two UK Breakout finals shows held at the O2 Carling Academy (London), organised by the Jar Music Group. The prize headlining the Maldives Breakout Festival in December 2008 in front of a crowd 15000 strong, an event that was broadcast by TVM and MTV Asia in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Qatar, India, Indonesia and Eastern Australia, clocking up audience figures of over 6M.
Their video “It Happens All The Time” was also aired, as a result, on MTV Europe, and the band has since been voted Best Band of the Maldives Breakout Festival 2008.

The second has been the regular airing of their EP on ABC’s Fame Games, a US radio show dedicated to the discovery and promotion of indie music, and broadcast in 150 countries worldwide. This, in turn, saw ATI win “Best Male Vocalist” in their Effigy Awards in January 2009, as well as being nominated for Best indie group and Best Song.
After the ice is now aired on a weekly basis on this show, as well as on “Radio voice of Maldives”, “Capital Radio 95.6” and “DhiFM 95.2FM”

2009 will see the band touring the O2 Academies all over the UK, promoting their single which is to be released this year, and a further autumn tour to South Asia (Singapore, India, Dubai, Malaysia and Thailand).
