Bio

After the Revival's influences range from the Delta blues of greats such as Blind Willie Johnson, to the folk gospel of Washington Phillips, to "Golden Age" artists of the 1940s through the 1960s such as the Davis Sisters, the Clara Ward singers, and the Angelic Gospel Singers, to the more contemporary gospel-based Americana music of Buddy Miller and Levon Helm.

The group was founded by Dawn Boyer, whose background is steeped in blues, old-time country, gospel, and R&B. Known as a soulful "shouter" as well as a singer of quiet, warm resonance, she has performed for audiences across the nation. She is also founder/director of and lead soloist for Rock My Soul, New England's highly acclaimed, secular gospel choir.

Brett Hartenbach, who also leads the group, has performed and sung in some of the most prestigious venues and festivals throughout the world. An immensely talented and tasteful guitarist who plays with both fire and restraint, he has earned high praise from both critics and audiences alike. Brett also tours regularly with cult icon Daniel Johnston and has shared the stage with such notables as Ellis Paul, Mary Lou Lord, Teddy Thompson, Garnet Rogers, and R.E.M. producer Don Dixon, to name a few.

Other members include Mark Weaver, Jody Dugrenier, Tina Weinberger, and Terry Olson on bass, alto, soprano and tenor vocals.
