Agaaqtoq was born and raised in Arviat, NU. He sings and writes songs in his first language of Inuktitut. Blending rock, blues, country, pop, folk, and even tango. Agaaqtoq released their first album in August 2014, and have been hitting the airwaves ever since with hit singles such as "Inuugiaqarama", an anti-suicide anthem meaning "I have to live", and "You & I" a song written by Kelly Fraser and performed with Agaaqtoq, which has a more Tango feel. He is planning to record their 2nd album in 2015 and In the mean time, he will continue to rock your kamiks off!
