LOS ANGELES, CA, August 8, 2012 — Independent Hip-Hop artists, Against the Grain will be featured on the upcoming Compilation, “Indie Anthems”. The compilation, which is produced by the WiFiPR Group to showcase new artists they have recently signed to their client roster, will come out as digital release only and be distributed at upcoming music festivals and industry events including CMJ.
Currently the group is waiting for conformation on 5 different shows across the east coast. Against The Grain has appeared on a episode of LiveWire Tv and also recorded two singles with MIMS and Producer Lex Luger “Vroom Vroom” and “Convertible Flow”; available for purchase on iTunes. The act has opened up for Def Jam recording artist Juelz Santana.
When asked who are their musical influences, they answered, “Nas, Eminem, Rakim, Notrious B.I.G, Micheal Jackson, 50Cent, and Jay-z”. Who does the music get compared to? Ludacris,Lil Wayne,The Roots, Jay-z. What inspires their song-writing: Relationships, Economical issues, Life struggles.
