Bio
Established in 2012, the Agape Blues Company is the premier Gospel Blues band serving the New York capital region. Musically we are a full-bodied blend of classic blues styles with rock and roots notes. We play many original songs along with classic blues songs with modified lyrics. We have also taken many well-known hymns and “bluesified” them into what we call “Barrelhouse Hymns.”
The mission of Agape Blues Company is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our music. Through this focus, we have performed in a large variety of venues including; auditoriums, bars, coffeehouses, homeless shelters, outdoor picnics, music festivals, radio stations, parking lots, adult care facilities, and churches from Whitehall, New York south as far as Columbia, South Carolina and west as far as Sturgis, South Dakota.
Agape Blues Company won “Best Inspirational Group” at the 2016 Capital District Music Awards. Scott was recognized as a Great Blues Artist in the New York State Blues Hall of Fame in 2019.
