Agape

Amos "Agape" Pendleton was born to Clarence Williams and Wilma Pendleton on June 10, 1979. Even as a youth growing up in Vicksburg, MS music was an extreme part of his life. At the age of 10, Agape' began writing music, but it wasn't until 1997 that his music received purpose. Not only did his music receive purpose but his life did as well. It was this time that Agape decided to stop live a dedicated to the street but instead living a life dedicated to Christ and living life to the fullest. Agape is co-founded the group CSGz. The CSGz has 3 albums out on the market. 1 underground, 1 nationally released, and 1 internationally released. In 1999, Eternal Life Insurance was released underground. Followed by Mouf 2 Mic, this album was released nationally on Wise Up Records and distributed by Central South/Infinity Music Distribution in 2004. In 2006, Agape' and the CSGz signed with Adullam House Records in Detroit, MI releasing "Sophomore, The Authentic Edition" which also was distributed internationally through Infinity Music Distribution. This album featured Grammy nominated producer/artist Pettidee, Hip Hop Hall of Famer Kurtis Blow, and a rock band from the Philippines "Grave 2 Life". The single Up In Here was in heavy rotation on several radio stations internet and mainstream.
Agape' has toured with one of the largest traveling ministry called "Acquire the Fire" as well as in 2006 before 300000 people Agape' and the CSGz performed at the Lifelight festival. Agape's has performed on major blues stages with artist such as Bobby Rush, Peggy Scott Adams and Jay Blackfoot as well with Mainstream artist such as Dave Hollister and 3-6 Mafia plus gospel sensations such as Tye Tribett, Kirk Franklin, Canton Jones, and Mary Mary. The CSGZ were also the first rap group to perform at the Riverfest in Vicksburg, MS.
The music that Agape' creates is cutting edge and creative. It's the truth about life and how to make it in the good times and the bad times. Agape's music is real life in demonstration and just like life is composed of many different things the same can be said about Agape's music. Agape' believes this to be true that "life is comprised of many emotions, many challenges, simply put many things, but there is one constant "Jesus Christ" and through him all things are possible.
