Bio

“Hit songs and raw energy!” Orlando, FL music critic Kevin Brady summarizes Agent 99 perfectly as the emerging force on the music scene that they have become.

This Gainesville, FL based pop rock band believes that if you get down to basics and of honest songwriting and a passionate connection with fans, that good things will fall into place. In October 2003, Agent 99’s hard work and increased buzz as one of the Southeast best young bands paid off, and the band was signed by the start up label, Wild Card Records.

With the 2004 release of the band’s debut album, “Two Night Stand”, Agent 99 appears on the verge of mainstream success. Recorded by producer Travis Cook (Ricky Martin, LFO, Lauren Hill), “Two Night Stand” is an explosion of classic rock influence (Beatles/Rolling Stones/Billy Joel/Elton John) with a modern edge and energy.

In September 2004, Agent 99 was introduced to the world as the #20 most added artist on the CMJ college music charts and the momentum hasn’t slowed. As “Two Night Stand” continues to spin on over 300 college stations all over the United States, the album’s first single “At All” has been added to over 50 commercial stations across the U.S. and it’s high audience reaction has “At All” scheduled to chart on FMQB in early April 2005.

The increased radio play and the positive press that Agent 99 has generated with their debut album has helped sell 2500 albums in five short months of release, with increasing retail numbers every week. The band has also recently landed one of two starring roles (along with Platinum Selling Artist “Yellowcard”) in the music industry based feature film, “Buzz Kill”, scheduled to begin production in Miami in March 2005.

With the band’s emerging national success, their relentless touring schedule continues stronger than ever. In short time, Agent 99 has been honored to open for national recording artists Joss Stone, Blues Traveler, Train, Guster, Brian Vander Ark, Will Hoge, Shinedown, and many more, and has performed on the main stage at some of the nation’s largest music festivals, including the 2004 Florida Music Festival and Sunfest 2004.

In the spring of 2005, Agent 99 looks forward to many headlining shows along the East Coast and the Mid-Atlantic, as well as opening slots for Hoobastank, Switchfoot, and Huey Lewis and the News in the Southeast, and a tour with the Pat McGee Band.

With momentum for Agent 99’s debut single, “At All” and debut album, “Two Night Stand” increasing daily, the sky is the limit for Agent 99 in 2005! But don't take our word for it, listen to a song off of “Two Night Stand” or check out this energetic young band in concert to find out for yourself what all the kids are talking about!
