AG SO Soulful

Ashley Gary now known as AG is making a name for herself in the rap game. The 24 year old hip hop lyricist was born and raised in Gary, IN. She is working on a music project with Fakulty Studios located in the northwest Indiana. The project is not set to release yet. Before jumping in the rap scene, Ashley surrounded herself in the arts. She is a professionally trained dancer who has trained at prestigious dance institutions such as Alvin Ailey and Ballet Chicago. She also attended Emerson high school for the visual and performing arts in Gary, Indiana. Not only does she rap and dance, but she choreographs contemporary modern pieces as well. AG love for music started at the age of 6. Growing up in a family full of musicians her love increased immensely as she was introduced to artists such as Maze and Frankie Beverly, Earth, Wind, and Fire, The Gap Band and many more. After writing and experimenting with different rhyme schemes and instrumentals, she discovered her gift of rapping in her sophomore year of college. Her influences in her music are Andre 3000, Jean Grea, Shawna, Remy Ma, Jill Scott, Common, D’angelo, Lauryn Hill, and many more. Ashley is a 2012 college graduate of Indiana University (Bloomington), and now that she has completed her degree, she is ready to commit 100% to Hip Hop. Keep your eyes on this rising artist.
