A Hero en Route plays a style of music that stands apart but does not stand alone. Some of AHER's major influences are Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, Radiohead and Led Zeppelin. We believe a powerful live show is more than just playing songs on a stage, it is about conveying a feeling through music and lyrics. We feel that a more introspective style of indie music is becoming increasingly popular after the decline of pop-punk music. People truly want to FEEL something when they listen to music and AHER gives listeners something to think about with their lyrics and massive soundscapes.
