Started in 2010 in Moorpark, California, Hungry Ghost Festival is an acoustic and alternative project headed by Greg Smith, the main creative influence with occasional guest musicians. Drawing influences from other indie musicians such as Colin Meloy, Chris Trapper, Speechwriters LLC and Wakey!Wakey!, the songs range from catchy and upbeat to solemn and melodic, always keeping the listeners guessing. HGF can be both the best relaxing music and and intriguing creative force all at once, perfect for an underground or small show.
