Bio

Not since the late 90’s, when Cash Money’s Hot Boys were active, has the world of hip-hop seen anything similar to aILite Entertainment. The labels four solo artists, D-Money, Moze Ella, Tae Wayne, and Young Ace collectively form the super-group baring the label’s name. The group hails from the Chicago-land area, and possesses a style that features great production, clever wordplay, and a variety of topics. Their sound is unique and can be justly described as…The Best. They are not only “Aur-city’s Finest”, as Aurora, IL is commonly referred to, but the Midwest’s Best. Their aim is to usher in a new era of hip-hop while building on the respect great artists such as Common, Eminem, Kanye West, Nelly, and a host of others, have already gained for the Midwest.

The group was formed after a reunion of sorts. Moze and Tae had previously been in a group together , called 3rd world, from 2000-2004. When the group disbanded many of the artists went their separate ways, but Moze and Tae maintained a strong relationship and continued working with one another. D-Money, originally from Aurora, IL, founded aILite entertainment in September of 2005. At the time he was living near Milwaukee, WI. aILite originally consisted of D-Money, King Rio, Lil’ Philly, and D-Money’s younger brother Ace. When D-Money and Young Ace moved back to Aur-City in February of 2006, they began working with Money’s childhood friend Moze. This eventually led to Moze introducing Money and Tae as business partners. “We knew each other from back when we were younger, but we didn’t know each other musically. We had both grown into talented artists, so it was like meeting each other all over again.”, says Tae-Wayne. D-Money proposed that Moze and Tae join him in running the label, and the group became what it is today in June of 2006.Since that time the group has built a chemistry that has evolved into an unbreakable bond. “Were honestly family and I think that has a positive effect on aur music” says, Young Ace.

That aforementioned chemistry shines through when aILite is on stage, as the group has opened for Jurassic 5, Nas, and T.I. Their bond is also ever apparent on their first album entitled “The Beginning of The End” The album is a bold proclamation of where aILite stands amongst the many hip-hop hopefuls in Aur-City…On Top. “Being the best in Aur-City is something we’re extremely proud of. A lot of people take the easier route and claim that they’re from Chicago, but we’re proud of where we come from, so being number one at home is a great feeling.”, says Moze Ella. The album is full of hits from start to finish and there is something everyone can relate to. “Aur four solo efforts alone cover four totally different topics. Moze’s solo is so heart felt that it touches your soul when you hear it, Ace lets you know that he’s by far the best teenage mc, Tae puts you up on aur attire, and I let the rappers in Aur-City, and throughout the industry, know that it’s time to put more skill into hip-hop.”, states D-Money. Production on the album is handled almost exclusively, by Tae-Wayne and Ty-Trax, with assistance from Deranged, Voodoo, and Shadowville Productions. The album is currently for purchase on the labels website (ailitemusic.com), and will be available in various media outlets shortly. Soon, the shortage of quality hip-hop albums being released will come to an end, and the Midwest will be even more respected as a source for hip-hop talent. Thanks in large part, to Aur-City’s Finest….aILite!
