"Dom Alessio, Triple J"

Very seductive. It's like Cat Power and PJ Harvey on a soul trip.
- Triple J

"Zan Rowe, Triple J"

Dang this is good. Sultry, bassy, stripped back and yet totally warm. Wonderful.
- Triple J

"Dan Buhagiar, Triple J"

Ainslie is winning herself a lot of fans around the triple j office with this new track - and now I've had a listen I understand why. Awesome vocal delivery, great guitar lines. Very hard to fit this in to any genre - imagine a soulful Stevie Knicks with the edginess of PJ Harvey and the melodies of Ladyhawke... Just listen, you'll be glad you did. - Triple J

"Nick Findlay, Triple J"

"this is just beautiful. it's as simple as that." - Triple J

Bio

Described as 'haunting to hectic in a heartbeat' Melbournite Ainslie Wills made a kerfuffle last year with the release of her second EP 'Somebody For Everyone' which included the soulful and brooding single 'Wide load', a song which received national and international attention. Inspired to write her own songs in her teenage years after hearing Jeff Buckley's 'Grace' , Ainslie followed a musical path to learn about the art of improvisation which deeply influenced her song writing. It was in 2007 when Ainslie first got a look-in from the musical community with her song 'Green Coloured Glass' which was unearthed by national radio station Triple J. Influenced by the likes of David Bowie, Tori Amos, Roy Orbison, Grizzly Bear, Fiona Apple and Wills' music is 'hard to fit into any genre' yet seems to appeal to a wide audience.
