Bio

Airdate is an unsigned 4 piece pop/rock band from eastern Long Island. The band is comprised of members Doug Del Gaudio (Vocals/Guitar); Daniel McCabe (Bass); Stephen Forys (Drums); and Christopher Loret (Guitar).

Airdate began in the spring of 2000, when Doug Del Gaudio and Stephen Forys met at Center Moriches High School on Long Island after finding similar interests in their taste and passion for music. Doug grew up listening to 80's pop/rock (The Outfield, Cheap Trick, Bon Jovi, The Cars, etc.) Steve moved at an early age from North Carolina to Long Island and grew up listening to country music. After years of playing together and recording some acoustic demos, they expanded their writing skills further by recording an EP entitled, "Problems, Problems". Guest musicians on the record included Chris Chachi Guglielmo of Bayside on Drums.

In the summer of 2006 Airdate acquired bassist, Daniel McCabe who was introduced by a long time friend. McCabe grew up playing in several bands from the Long Island scene from Crime in Stereo to Permanent Me. Christopher Loret finally joined the group in the fall of 2006 on guitar. Chris was previously a former member of different projects with Doug and Steve years previous. Chris' energy, dedication, and playing ability proved to be the perfect match to complete the bands line up in 2006.

Airdate's fan base has been constantly growing and expanding to different parts of the world. Music sharing websites such as PureVolume and MySpace has helped display the bands music, reaching over 230,000 people and over 240,000 plays in such a short period of time. They have recently been featured several times on music sharing website known as PureVolume.com, receiving more plays then chart topping Billboard artists such as Avril Lavigne, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance, becoming the 1 unsigned band by plays and downloads several times.

In the Summer of 2007, Airdate released a brand new Summer sampler featuring 3 tracks. These tracks include the songs Everytime, Walking Alone, and Enemy. The sampler was produced by Mia Koo and Ava Koo of The Kung Fu Girls and recorded by John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Brand New) at Nada Studios in New Windsor, NY.
