Bio

Andre Ferreri: guitars/composer Originally from New York, New York, Andre’s unique guitar talents have been in high demand throughout the southeast for the past 30 years. His passion is writing and recording technically challenging Jazz-Rock that is fun to play, and even more fun for the listener. Over the past decade Andre’s compositions appeared on several national television shows, movies, and commercials for both radio and TV. Well known as a first-call session artist, Andre’s credits include a long list of famous artists’ albums. As a live player he is in high demand and performs throughout the mid-Atlantic area with numerous local, regional, and national acts. Conservatively compared to some of the best guitarists in the business, Andre will dazzle even the most astute players.

Ziad Rabie: saxophones/composer Whether wielding a tenor, alto, or soprano saxophone, Ziad's talent as an instrumentalist has yielded him extensive recording and live performance contracts with numerous regional and national artists. In addition to his unique woodwind wizardry, Ziad continually composes music, much of which has been featured nationally. He is an extremely powerful and emotional soloist, completely comfortable and delightfully unpredictable in virtually any musical genre. When Ziad blows his horn, his melodic soulfulness always brings audiences to their feet.

Dave Yelverton: drums A native Floridian, Dave started playing drums at age 8. Having performed all over the United States and Canada in a variety of bands and as an independent, Dave’s experience as a live and studio player ushered him from college lab bands through the New York City disco revolution in the late 70’s, the Southern Funk circuit in the 80’s, the South Florida and Los Angeles live and studio scenes in the 90’s, and just about everything in between. Dave’s deep-in-the-pocket grooves have been heard around the country on numerous radio and television commercials and television shows.

Jeff Cowden: piano/keyboards/composer A relative newcomer to the Charlotte music scene, Jeff started his musical career in Detroit playing around the northeast with numerous bands, including the legendary Air Condo, the premier funky jazz band of that era. After spending several more years playing in Florida and touring throughout the country, he migrated to Charlotte and became an instant hit with area studio and live players. Jeff’s blistering piano and keyboard chops are etched into numerous recordings, and he is in top demand as a live player. Jeff’s style is reminiscent of Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea.

Dave Vergato: electric bass Dave hails from Pittsburgh via the rigorous but revered University of Miami (FL) music school, where he earned his Bachelor of Music Performance. He has worked with a variety of national, regional, and local acts, from pit bands to cruise ships and big bands to pop. An outstanding technician with truly magical feel, Dave’s bass prowess has taken the area music scene by storm. He is in high demand as a live and studio player and keeps an active teaching studio. Dave’s solid texture and remarkable chops kick music lovers and musicians alike to the edges of their seats; this guy can really play.
