Bio
In a scene so frequently crowded with jam bands, bluegrass and bass heavy dance music, rock does live on in the hearts of Missoula, Montana’s own Airstream Safari. Formed in 2009 amongst the crowded corners of an vintage travel-trailer restoration shop as a power trio, this group began the rebirth of 90’s rock sounds perfectly accentuated with their "folky" Montana influences and the angst of a teenage metal-head. After completing their first album [Airstream Safari], surviving lineup changes, touring the Pacific Northwest and playing locally, it is easy to see the dedication to spreading their unique, energetic and dance-able sound has only just begun. With haunting and memorable songwriting, powerfully-skilled drumming and soul gripping bass lines, these gentlemen will surely make you stand up and take notice.
Now in 2012, Isaac McElderry [guitar/vocals], Miles Cottrell [bass], Jacob Allington [drums] and Nick Reiner [guitar] find themselves cultivating a solid base into a sound
that is only growing stronger and tighter each day. They have recently headed back into the studio to record and write their sophomore album, which is slated for release Spring/Summer 2013.
Airstream Safari has shared the stage with national and world renown bands such as:
Futurebirds
Moondoggies
Prospect Hill
Black Stone Cherry
The Jezebels
LIVE
Sick Puppies
Candlebox
