BLUES HOUSE

Written By: A. J. CASCIO

It happened long ago
I swear I ain't lying
I never had the blues
I thought you were mine
Then I found out
You were cheating on me
My whole house turned so blue
Lord I could hardly see

Now I'm living in a blues house
Their hanging from my walls
I got blues in my bedroom
All up and down the hall

The landlord came by this morning
Said my rent was overdue
Took a look inside the door and said
Lord you done filled my house with the blues
The maid ran out last Friday
Didn't even get her pay
Said I tried everything in my bucket Boss
Lord I can't wash these blues away

Cause you're living in a blues house
Won't wash away at all
You got blues in your kitchen
All up and down the hall

My momma told me son
You got a bad situation here
If you just get that woman back
All your blues will disappear

Cause you're living in a blues house
Yea nothing but a blues house
Living in a blues house
Nothing but a blues house.

I got blues in my bedroom
All up and down the hall

THE BLUES IS MY JONES

Written By: Tony Cascio

When I was a young buck
Couldn't have been more than 10 years old
A sound was going round
That must have jumped into my soul
My daddy used to play the blues
In a juke joint close to home
He drank and he gambled
But the blues was his jones

Went through a lot of women
Went through a lot of dough
Come time to pay my bills
Said something got to go
Went down to the pawn shop
To pay the interest on my loan
I bought an old harmonica
Now the blues is my jones

I heard a man say that the blues
Ain't nothing but a good man
feeling bad
But the blues is the best feeling
That this man has ever had
Now don't get me wrong I got
a woman that I just can't leave
alone
The blues is my jones yeah-the
blues is my jones

Up in the morning every day around nine
My broom needs to be dusted
Old Cadillac needs a shine
But I open up my harp case
Disconnect all the telephones
Looking for that feeling
The blues is my jones

Now strap on your seat belt darling
Gonna be a bumpy ride
]My fifteen minutes of fame turned into forty-five
Got my mojo in my pocket next to two black cat bones
I'm sliding on down to the juke joint
The blues is my jones
The blues is my jones

DOWN THE ROAD

Written By: Rod Tompkins & A. J. Cascio

I'm gonna get up in the morning and head on down the road
I'm gonna get up in the morning and head on down the road
You're gonna miss me baby, when you realize I'm gone

All of these years, I've done the best that I can
All of these years, I've done the best that I can
And now your're gonna tell me you got another man

I'm gonna catch the first thing smokin' and move on down the line
Ain't gonna think about the way you lied
When you told me you were mine

The way I see it, you got a lot of nerve
The way I see it baby, you got a lot of nerve
For me to stay and love you is more than you deserve

I'm gonna get up in the morning head on down the road
I'm gonna get up in the morning head on down the road
Your're gonna miss me baby, when you realize I'm gone
