Bio
Zachary Betts grew up in rural Michigan, isolated from “big city” music. It wasn’t until the family bought a satellite dish, that he discovered the world of Electronic Dance Music—or “EDM” for short.
At age 14, he started educating himself and began composing and producing loops and beats, with no formal training.
After a short stint in the Army, Zachary moved back to Michigan to discover that his brother purchased professional grade production/DJ equipment. Learning the basics and continuing into more technical, live remixing Zach started “Minor State,” with his brother, Tyler.
It was here that “Biff Tannen” was born.
Nurturing roots in trance and house styles, Biff toured Michigan with his brother as Minor State. It was during this time, Biff entered into the foray of live performance and talent work. His energy and timing on stage became powerful and honed.
As they progressed, the brothers evolved as individual artists—moving into new sound and style tastes. Biff then consulted with Scott Erickson, and two developed a new concept, which became BIFF TANNEN.
Today Biff’s music can be heard all around the world. He strives to be the best at what he does and works hard to entertain new listeners and die-hard fans, alike.
