Bio

As an actor, rapper, and songwriter Luchan (Ajaxx) Baker adds focuse and a calm determination for perfection to his talent and hard work; gaining well deserved respect within the Bay Area’s Theatre and Underground Hip Hop communities.

Born on March 18, 1981 in Berkeley, California, the young Ajaxx graduated Skyline High School with its prestigious performing arts department. Ajaxx had his first dramatic arts exposure on stage at the Skyline Auditorium in “Purlie” playing “Gitlow Johnson” in 1997, directed by Jan Hunter.
In 1998 Ajaxx continued giving quality stage performances under the direction of Jan Hunter as “Grady & Coach Odom” in “School Daze”; and “The 7th Juror” in “12 Angry Men”. In the same year at Laney College, Oakland, CA. he performed as “Robin” in “BlackMan & Robin”, and “Buck” in “Red Summer” at Knoxville College in Knoxville, TN.

In 2005 Ajaxx played the controversial role of “Billie Ray” in “Don’t Call Me Nigger”; Directed by John Doyle at the Alice Arts Center and began 2006 as “Hero” in “Death Takes a Stand” Directed by Michael Lange at the Richmond Auditorium.

Ajaxx continues to strive for excellence in the performing arts currently attending Actor Training Classes at the American Conservatory Theatre, in San Francisco, CA. He keeps a full plate dividing his time between live stage and studio hip hop performances with such recognized names as: Planet Asia, Killa Priet (Wu Tang), Casual (Hieroglyphs), Black Sheep, Zion I, The Grough (Living Lengends), Balance, Pep Love (Hieroglyphs), Cali Agents, Z-Man, Lunar Heights, Azeem, Equipto, Biasso (Living Lengends), Opio (Souls of Mischief), and Tajai (Souls of Mischief).

Currently Ajaxx is preparing for the following productions:

Ajaxx will be playing “Fly” in “110th Street”; Directed by Ellis Berry at the Alice Arts Center on Friday and Saturday, February 10th & 11th at 8pm. Also showing on Sunday, February 12th at 2pm 2006.

Ajaxx will be playing “Rashaad” in “The Meeting”; Directed by Michael Lange in Chicago and Seattle in 2006.

Ajaxx will be playing “Julian” in “The Powdered Cage”; Directed by Ellis Berry filmed in the Bay Area. Released in 2006.
