Bio

AJ SPENCE, April and Jasmine Spence of New York are two talented and anointed singers and songwriters. Spreading the gospel through songs of worship and praise. They are ready to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Coming from a family that strongly believes that only what you do for Christ will last.

In order to achieve there goal of bringing a positive message to this generation, AJ SPENCE have combined in their songs, the traditional gospel sounds with a mixture of urban contemporary and reggae music, this is music that young people can identify with. They are young, but are well aware of all the peer pressure and issues that young people face today, It is for this reason they have a burning desire to touch as many lives as possible through their music.

April and Jasmine are sisters and their parents utilized the first letter of their names and their last name to come up with their moniker “AJ SPENCE.” April and Jasmine are traveling on the road to success and along the way they want to fulfill their promise to God to be a living sacrifice. Their sophomore album "FULLNESS OF TESTIMONY" featured such songs as Why you keep running, Right Time, Hear my Cry and Remnant People. The message that resounds through all the songs is that with God all things are possible. Through this freshman project many doors have been open.

They have been featured in the faith section of Newsday and called gospel girls. In January 2005 they received a proclamation from Steve Bellone town supervisor. AJ SPENCE has performed on the same stage with Marvin Sapp, Deitrick Haddon, Helen Baylor, Byron Cage, Yanna Crawley, Donnie McClurkin and old school rapper Chubb Rock.

In 2009 their sophomore and much anticipated album "Powered by Abba" will be released featuring such songs as God is able, Powered by Abba, Amazing Grace and the gospel anthem everyone one loves feat old school rapper Chubb Rock Treat Him Right (the gospel remake) This album continues to offer the versatile styles heard on the Fullness of Testimony album.

AJ SPENCE continues through their music to reach out to a dying generation, caught in a vicious cycle of sex, drugs, violence and gangs. Their message is still sounding loud and clear that “God is Able”. AJ SPENCE has traveled and performed all over Long Island and around the United States at many different venues.

AJ Spence recently in August of 2010 performed at "The Get Hooked Concert" at Six Flags, Great Adventure and finished up their new video " I NEED YOU" which will be featured on The Power Of Praise gospel compilation scheduled to be released June 14, 2011
