Akil Wingate is a singer-songwriter and musician who divides his time between Paris and Los Angeles. He is the voice and the songwriter behind top European dance hits with industry heavyweights David Guetta, Joachim Garraud, Avicii, Hardwell, Tristan Garner, Yves LaRock, Sebastien Benett, Robert M, Greg Access, Dave Kurtis, Aaron McClelland and numerous others.
Often compared vocally to Tina Turner, Prince and Terrence Trent D’arby; Akil fuses rock, soul, gospel, hip hop and electro to forge a lush indie sound. Fans and new listeners will be treated to moving, inspirational music fit for the intimate confines of their headphones or the throbbing vibrations of the dance floor.
Currently on tour to promote his new album Avarice, Akil has performed every year since 2009 at Paris’ Technoparade before crowds exceeding 1 million dancing fans. He also tours extensively throughout Europe, making frequent stops in the Russian Federation, Poland, and the Baltic States. His new tour will see him push into UK and American venues with his stellar live band.
