Born 34 years ago in the heat of the Guadeloupean Carnival, Akiyo, basicly a Mas group, became through the years, the
biggest world representative of traditional Guadeloupean music: the Gwo Ka.
Akiyo, its the soul of the people. We share a movement with simplicity and love. Music is my mission, a strength source
for spirits, tradition and thoughts said Francois Ladrezeau, member of the group.
Endowed with an exceptional musicality, carried by strong lyrics which exhales the whole intense history of the people of
the French West Indies, Akiyo guaranteed to you, a journey at the heart of the Caribean heat!
