AKOVA, finalist in the prestigious Musicoz songwriting awards, Australian Songwriting Competition and Unsigned Only world songwriting competition.

Recently split from successful duo Shoebox, AKOVA has embarked on his solo venture.

This multi-instrumentalist plays a high energy, uplifting style of Gypsy,Roots, World. It's catchy and totally original. With guitars, vocals, cajon, djembe, ankle bells, kazoo and an assortment of other percussion instruments. It's an experience for the eyes, feet and soul.

This is not your average solo acoustic act.
With tribal drumming, driving rhythms and lyrics that make you glad to be alive. AKOVA has no problem filling a festival stage with sound. Such as Nimbin Roots Festival, Byron Bay Reggae Fest, Home Festival, Swell Fest, Festival of Love and D'Alliance.
Sharing the stage with acts such as Ash Grunwald, Phil Emmanuel, King Tide, US sensation Set Sail and Raz Bin Sam and the Lion I.
