Bio
AKUTE has been labeled as one of the most promising artists on the Belarusian independent scene. It was formed in 2009 by ex-participants of the well-known punk rock band GLUCKI, who decided to switch to more contemporary music which they describe as “disco decadence”. AKUTE’s first track, “Adzinoctva” (“Loneliness”), was recorded February 2009 and made the main Belarusian chart, “Tuzin Gitou” and stayed in top5 for five months. AKUTE’s collected “The best new band” award at the ULTRA MUSIC AWARDS 2009, the Grand-prix at "Vertifest 2010" (Kiev, Ukraine), the 1st prize at "Basowiszcza 2010" (Grodek, Poland) and played two special sets at "Be2gether 2010" (Norviliskes, Lithuania). AKUTE wrote the original soundtrack for the independent movie “Kanikuly” (“Vacation”), directed by Vladimir Kozlov.
