It was on the initiative of Alain Jean, bass guitarist and composer, that the band: Alain Jean et les cordes à linge began by the end of the year 2007.
At the start, the band was triggered off by the acoustic and joyful meeting of musicians: an armenian violonist, a gipsy jazz inspirated french violonist, a guitarist and a bass guitarist, joined a year after by a drummer.
The band has been performing concerts in the south of France since 2009, and is still seducing its public with a subtil blend of gipsy tones mixed with african rythmes and a touch of oriental and latin jazz.
Alain Jean et les cordes à linge has just recorded its first CD from a selection of its best four tracks.
