Alajuwon Wright & Higher Desire

Alajuwon Wright & Higher Desire is a body of talented, diverse and anointed group who have been set aside to do a work for the kingdom like none other. They have been assigned to be “Hype for the Movement, and not just the Moment,” which embodies them to minister to the sin sick and lost. “So many people I have come in contact with have said they have a message for the people, but then one day you see something that shows that they are not still holding up the blood stained banner. Whether it be Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, or just everyday life we have to continue to lift up a standard!!!!”

Alajuwon Jerome Wright, founder and visionary, began singing at a very young age at his local ministry. Songwriter and singer, “Jay” has broken through the formalities of Gospel music. Influenced by greats, such as, Bishop Marvin Winans, The Winans, Kirk Franklin, and Tye Tribett to name a fee, Jay has expressed that we cannot put a limit on what God is able to do. The gift God has bestowed upon his life has made his ministry limitless.

God led and directed Alajuwon to get a group of young people together and began to sing at local Jacksonville churches. And the years would go by God began to deal with Alajuwon and advise him that this is just not a group of singers but a ministry. And from there God has continued to lead and direct AW/HD. The much anticipated CD, Transformed for the Transition, is in the process of being recorded and includes songs such as “Get this Curse off of me” and “Transform me”.

Alajuwon Wright & Higher Desire’s focus is to not only Worship God with their entire being; but touch the heart and soul of men and beckon them to come to Christ.
