Alana is a supremely talented female vocalist on the move. Her voice reminds us Faith Hill, Leann Rimes, Kelly Clarkson, and Christina Aguilera when they were the hot new thing.

Biography

Hailing from historic Philly, the tremendously talented Alana taught herself to sing in grade school by imitating LeAnn Rimes’ voice as she sang along to the artist’s records. Alana’s lush voice eventually landed her a part in a David Bowie tribute show that rocked theaters and clubs on the East Coast in 2010. She then “burned” up the stage imitating Ellie Goulding on June 2, 2014 in an episode of MTV's Copycat, a national singing competition. Earlier in 2014, she’d recorded with Grammy-nominated producer David Ivory, and shortly thereafter signed with his label, Flexitone Records. Watch for her passionate country rock single and video, "Asleep," coming out in Fall 2014!

Need a live Alana fix? You can catch her at one of her numerous local gigs. She currently lives in Austin, where she volunteers as a vocal coach to young singers at her former acting gig,  the Sam Bass Theater in Round Rock, Texas. She also volunteers at the Humane Society of Austin when not spoiling her own pets – a Yorkie she calls "Chicken" and a plump Chihuahua that responds to "Sausage."

Lyrics

Asleep

Written By: Alana

You better bring pictures to my funeral
Cause you're gonna be the last pill that stops my heart
You better have answers to all the questions
What made her so mad she had to tear her life apart

We all have to go someday but I like doing things my way so for now

I want to sleep
Through the hurt
Through the pain
It calms my nerves

Sleep through the lows
Nobody knows except for me
I will be asleep

I'm done trying for a reaction
Some sign of a pulse from a hollow man
I don't think it could be any clearer
Unless it was written in the sand

We all have to go someday but I like doing things my way so for now

I want to sleep
Through the hurt
Through the pain
It calms my nerves

Sleep through the lows
Nobody knows except for me
I will be asleep
