Lyrics

This Old Town

Written By: Alana Kurtis + Warren Cliff

Verse:
In this old town
of dirt and dust
people stay the same
nothing changes much
and all the good times
we might of shared
just can't compare
to what's out there

Chorus:
I want to love you
but there's so much more to do
I've got to leave this town
even if it means leaving you

verse:
I need to touch
I need to feel
something new to me
something I've never seen
said my good-byes
cut all my ties
watched you disappear
in my rear view mirror

Chorus:
I want to love you
but there's so much more to do
I've got to leave this town
even if it means leaving you
I'll never be satisfied by the quiet country life
I need the bright city lights

----guitar solo----

Chorus:
I want to love you
but there's so much more to do
I've got to leave this town
even if it means leaving you
I'll never be satisfied by the quiet country life
I need the sound and the sights
I need the bright city lights

Cowboy Dreams

Written By: Alana Kurtis, Asha Gervan

Verse:
Junk yards, box cars, hearts on fire
Beat up trucks and telephone wire
I'm driving down this country road
with you on my mind
Still feel the fit of your worn out jeans
can't rid myself of these cowboy dreams
I'm driving down this country road
with you on my mind

Chorus:
My mama says that you're no good for me
and my friends think I'm wasting my time
But there's no one that I'd rather see
walkin' that yellow line

Verse:
No smoking, drinking, running away
Looking for a man who wants me to stay
and I'm driving down this country road with you on my mind
Looking for a man with no boots to shine
with love in his heart and me on his mind
and I'm driving down this country road to see what I'll find
Chorus:
My mama says that you're no good for me
and my friends think I'm wasting my time
But there's no one that I'd rather see
walkin' that yellow line

guitar solo

Verse:
Still feel your mouth all over my skin
still got your smell
still got this grin
and I'm high on the road with you on my mind
Still feel the fit of your worn out jeans
can't rid myself of these cowboy dreams
and I'm driving down this country road with you on my mind

Wiser

Written By: Alana Kurtis, Amy Rutherford

Verse:
It's easier when you go away
I can finally go back home
follow these tracks to the edge of town
and disappear into the underground
The truth is I adore you
but loving you is a waste
the truth is you terrify me
'cause I can see the world in the lines of your face

Chorus:
What happens when we get older
you're not the hero you used to be
what happens when the curtain falls down
and you see my naked body
I like thinking you're the one for me
but I'm wiser than I used to be

Verse:
Why is vanity so damn sexy
I love the way you make me feel
I come alive in the reflection of you
I would risk everything
and throw my life away
But there's still no telling what you would do

Chorus:
What happens when we get older
you're not the hero you used to be
what happens when the curtain falls down and you see my naked body
I like thinking you're the one for me
but I'm wiser than I used to be

Chorus:
What happens when we get older
you're not the hero you used to be
what happens when the curtain falls down and you see my naked body
What happens when we get older
you're not the person I thought you'd be
what happens when it all falls apart
and you're not so sure you love me
I like thinking you're the one for me
but I'm wiser than I used to be

I Will Be Yours

Written By: Alana Kurtis

Verse
In the heart of December
The year of the storm
I read your note
And it kept me warm
And I knew from that moment
wrapped in your arms
You are my home
You are my home
You are my home 'till the end of our days

Verse
When I look in your eyes
The world falls away
I get this feeling
When I call your name
'Cause I know that I love you
For all that you are
I will be yours
I will be yours
I will be yours 'till the end of our days

Bridge:
I will love you
That will never change
I will love you
That will always be the same
I will love you
'Till the end of our days
I will be yours
I will be yours
I will be yours
'Till the end of our days

Solo

Verse
When the morning is breaking
And will lie in bed
Pouring over the stories,
The thoughts in our head
There's a reason I tell you
everything on my mind
'Cause you the one
You are the one
You are the one 'till the
end of our days
