Alan Gawalko is an ambient/experimental artist. His music is an attempt to fuse traditional ambient music with avant-garde sampling and an all-electronic instrumentation. Inspired by Brian Eno's generative series he strives to bridge the gap between noise rock groups such as Flying Saucer Attack with electronic grunge ambience such as the latter half of David Bowie's "Heroes". He continues to perform under the moniker of "Abbie Normal", a seperate entity from his work as Alan Gawalo. Normal's work is a high-concept art-ambience project that melds everyday sounds with philosophical ramblings and keyboard looping.
