“We are excited for her to share her talents with the students of Cottonwood Creek,” Cottonwood Creek Principal Lisa Vrvilo said. “All of her songs are uplifting songs about making good choices while growing up. She is amazing and it is sure to be fantastic.”

Claire said she’s excited to perform at Cottonwood Elementary today.

“I love looking in their eyes and telling them they are awesome just the way they are,” she said.

Born in Anchorage, the Palmer girl began singing and writing her own songs while playing the guitar at only 13 years old.

This is the first in a series of Alaska shows that precede her tour in San Diego, Calif., under the direction of her producer, Jeff McCullough of Tree Hill Media.

"Musical Boost For Conductor In Need"

Moving up: Escondido music producer Jeff McCullough is enjoying life on the charts. A tune he mixed called "Heaven in Your Eyes," by Elan Trotman, was ranked No. 12 on the Billboard jazz charts last week. He's also benefiting from the Internet. A former classmate, Nicole Christianson, whom he hadn't seen in 19 years, connected with McCullough on Facebook. Now living in Alaska, Christianson is the mother of a talented 13-year-old singer, Alani Claire, who McCullough called "the best raw talent I have ever recorded." They are now working on Alani's first album.

Bio

Continuing to provide listeners with positive, fun, and current music is important to Alani Claire, an artist and vocalist who is dedicated to promoting her motto of “you’re worth it” to youth around the world.

With her unusually compassionate heart, Alani Claire’s greatest joy comes from uplifting those around her, and she hopes to inspire others to reach for their goals and dreams through the power of her music and lyrics.

Alani Claire’s background and talents are just as colorful as her name. At the young age of 14, the vocal sound of this powerhouse pop/soul singer with a Hawaiian heritage and Alaskan roots has stunned not only fans but also those in the music industry. In the words of music producer Jeff McCullough, “If you blend the vocal maturity and tone of India-Arie with the range and power of Mariah Carey, it would only begin to describe the vocal styling of Alani Claire.” True to her passionate Hawaiian essence, once she got a taste of performing on stage, her love of music and its power to inspire and uplift others was solidified and she has not turned back.

Early in 2011, the opportunity opened up for Alani to return to her mother’s hometown in California and work with music producer Jeff McCullough of Tree Hill Media. Although new to the recording studio, Alani Claire embraced the challenge of learning her style and fleshing out her abilities as an artist.

Alani’s hard work and dedication paid off as she released her first album “Change This World” late in 2011. The album includes 5 original songs and 2 cover songs, all which include upbeat, positive messages that youth of all ages can relate to.

Alani Claire is currently touring the US in coffee houses, state fairs, private venues, and public schools.
