Bio
Alan P. MacLeod lives near Halifax, Nova Scotia. He's been writing, co-writing, producing and recording music for over twenty years.
In the late 1980’s this "son of a preacher man" produced the Halifax indie bands Infra Dig and Tetrus. (Tetrus was one of the ground-breaking bands of the East Coast alternative music scene.)
Two of his songs appear on Sean Kirby’s CD Trust, including the title track – “Trust These Words”.
Joanna Butler included four songs she co-wrote with Alan on her 2008 CD “Sometimes A Daydream” (available on iTunes). Alan released “Hide The Knives” in 1998; and “Capo” (a series of four EP’s in four genres) in 2005 and 2006.
Alan composed soundtracks for independent films and consulted on the score for the award winning film “Baba’s House”. Currently, his songs are being considered for the soundtracks of the feature films "Touch the Moon" and "The Disappeared”
He is now recording his next CD entitled “After New York”.
