Bio

Born in Hawaii, and now residing in Brooklyn, New York, Alanna seems to thrive in contrast. Hard to pin her look down, she is a tall mix of Filipino and Caucasian. Alanna learned how to play flute and then made a switch to trombone in high school. Early on, she had a love for anything vintage and appreciated jazz, samba, funk, alternative & electronic music. She began to sing songs like “Girl From Ipanema” and “Corcovado” with a jazz band in college. Soon after, the desire to write her own songs hit hard and a move to NY seemed appropriate. Soon after, Alanna was introduced to Andrew Wyatt ( Miike Snow & Fires of Rome) by a photographer and started to write songs together. Her first published song was a fun one they wrote called “Pop Goes My Heart” for the film, Music and Lyrics. Hugh Grant sang it! Currently, she is recording new songs with several producers. After some recent performances in which she plays trombone, she stresses that it will be on the next album. Her self titled EP of 5 songs is now available on iTunes!
