I can whistle a tune through my teeth, use chopsticks, drive a manual, explain the difference between prima prattica and seconda prattica in opera, knit a jumper, and maybe beat you at Scrabble (or lose gracefully). I also paint fairly abstract pictures, I could hoard for Australia and I'm a morning person.
I'm not so good at reverse parking, invoicing, any form of Latin dancing, small talk, completing tertiary studies, or getting camellias to bloom.
I like muesli, long blacks, all the fruits of the sea, bananas when they're a bit brown, rockmelon, laksa, renovating, looking at art, going to gigs and festivals, impulsiveness, walking in the bush or in the suburbs, my family, my friends, being a programmer, playing in a band, enjoying my own company, Coopers, cognac, shiraz, the smell of new books, road trips, comfortable silences, going back to Darwin, good water pressure, gas kitchens, staying up all night talking nonsense sometimes, flexible hours, cocoa butter, blue cheese, pottering about, getting out of town, gerberas, jacarandas, ducks, cows, ruralia, the tropics, commas, parentheses, ellipses...
I dislike sensationalism, indifference, spam, whingers, blowhards, hype, cliches, people who drop around without calling first, Piers Akerman, Rove, Pete Murray, hard house, mindless TV in pubs, excessive packaging, abrogation of responsibility, poor customer service, stpd fn sms abrvns :(, wearing a tie, and extended periods of cold/windy weather.
I'm comfortable with who I am, where I'm at, how I'm evolving and who I killed to get here.
