Alchemy is an alternative rock band based out of Burlington, MA. The group includes Real School Member John Hesson on guitar & vocals, Jake Fahey on drums, and Tim McLaughlin on bass. Hesson, who also regularly performs as a solo artist has written much of the original material that Alchemy will perform on Friday. Group influences also include The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis, and Nirvana.

At home I have Line6 recording equipment that I have used to record a little over a dozen original songs over the past year and a half. At our school we have sold almost 30 homemade CDs to get our name out there in our town.

It all started out when the three of us met in high school. We had been jamming and enjoying music together for quite some time until we realized that we should get an act together and start up a band. So, John brought forth to the table about a dozen songs he had written over the past year and a half, and we worked off those base songs to create a set list for our first show. It was a hit, and ever since our first show we have been continuing to write as a group and compile numerous new directions in our playing and approach. Some of our influences include, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis, Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, Queens Of The Stone Age, and Dispatch.
