Born & raised in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, alden hit the road on a hunch that California was where she belonged. With the West Coast as her home base, alden has been taking her sound around the country as an intimate storytelling experience that is sure to charm and befriend any audience. alden spent her college years at the University of Georgia in Athens - - home-base of some of her major influences: the Indigo Girls, R.E.M., and Widespread Panic. alden's West Coast debut came in 2005 at the world famous Hard Rock Café. Her music has often been described as a young Shawn Colvin hanging with Jewel, blended with a kick of Melissa Ferrick...yet undeniably "alden"...
Having just completed her 20-state East Coast Tour, alden is excited to be back writing and performing in the Bay Area. She is available to open for bands at larger venues and headline more intimate venues around the country.
