Audiences first discovered Alec on Broadway in the Tony Award winning production of M.BUTTERFLY. Alec has guest starred on over 40 television series, including ALIAS, FRIENDS, DHARMA AND GREG ROSEANNE, THE JAMIE FOXX SHOW, SEINFELD and NYPD Blue. In 2001 Alec made television history by playing network television’s very first Gay Asian series regular role on the short lived CBS sitcom SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS. He then starred in four seasons of the UPN sitcom HALF AND HALF. Currently he recurs as Gabriella Solis’ pal “Vern” on the ABC mega-hit DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES . Film audiences howled at Alec’s shameless scenery stealing as “N’ Cream” in the wildly popular drag queen musical CONNIE AND CARLA. Other film credits include PLAYING BY HEART and the upcoming indies DIRTY LAUNDRY and TRU LOVED
