Melbourne songwriter Alexander Biggs has an aptitude for storytelling that offers honest and, at times, confronting, insight into life’s greater failures and lesser successes. Since releasing his debut single in early 2016, the 23 year old artist has been named the 12th most played artist on triple j Unearthed for 2016, received airplay on BBC Radio 1 and triple j, amassed over 1 million Spotify plays and supported the likes of Frightened Rabbit, Kyle Lionhart and Gretta Ray. His latest single, ‘Tidal Wave’ peaked at #9 in AUS, #49 in US, #31 in UK, #40 in Poland on the Spotify Viral Charts, with his debut single ‘Out In The Dark’ receiving airplay on both triple j and community stations across Australia, recently surpassing over 940,000 plays on Spotify whilst being added to global Spotify playlists, Wake Up and Smell The Coffee and Fresh Finds: Six Strings. Alexander Biggs recently signed a worldwide record deal with Sony Music Australia, and a publishing deal with Native Tongue Music Publishing. Collective Artists has also joined the team, looking after Alexander's live bookings in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Alexander Biggs will release his debut EP this year, with plans to tour nationally around Australia in 2017, and internationally in the near future.
