"CD review"

Alexandra and the Herrings or the art of www music : weird, whimsical, wacky. Electro-pop with hints of 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and fresh lime. They are the brainchild of Alexandra Delgado (www.alexandradelgado.com), an award winning singer/songwriter; honour awards at the Billboard World Song Contest and at the Great American Song Contest.

Alexandra a prolific songwriter, composes and performs in many styles. She has in the past performed at the Francofolies de Montréal, at Divers-Cité, at the opening and closing of the Image+Nations Film Festival. In 2006 she puts her electro-pop repertoire together thus embarking upon the Herrings adventure. She records and co-produces her songs with the Funky Filter and gives her first show in autumn at the Main Hall. The following year she continues recording but limits performances due to her child born in 2007.

In 2008 Alexandra and the Herrings release their debut album Lucky Number 7. It is well received by the critics. Ici Montreal calls it “fun and unpretentious” and notes how easily one is drawn into the ambience. An ambience worthy of the B-52’s.

Alexandra and the Herrings - de l’électro-pop décalé à saveur de lime.

En 2008 Alexandra and the Herrings sortent leur premier CD Lucky number 7.
