I moved around a lot, when I was a kid,
'Cause my Daddy was the travelin' type.
The last thing in this world that he liked to do,
Was to watch the box and smoke a pipe.

Oh, we lived over the city and country.
And that's the reason why I got itchy feet,
And I want to tell this town goodbye.

The only thing I'd miss, yeah, after I'm gone,
Is this very special woman I know.
She's got a lot of ways to get me to stay,
'Cause she doesn't seem to want me to go.
Ain't she wild, that Doxy, she's wild and foxy,
And when I want to soothe the sting of my travelin' bug,
Doxy makes the highway fever go.

Les Feuilles Mortes

Written By: Joseph Kosma

Diz lhe numa presce

The Joyspring, the fountain of pleasure,
Is deep inside you whether you're diggin' it or not.
Once you're aware of this spring
You'll know that it's the only treasure you've got.

And furthermore the Joyspring, the bounteous treasure,
Cannot be bartered away and never can be sold,
No-one can take it from you,
It's yours and yours alone to have and to hold.

And even so it never is lost to fire and theft,
It stays around,
When trouble is gone the pleasure is left.
I've always found it's burglar proof same as the treasure man lays up in heaven,
With a truth no-one can measure.
And so we say, the Joyspring,
The fountain of pleasure,
Is deep inside you let me inform you in all truth
Ponce de Leon sought this
When he was searching for the fountain of youth.

The Island

Written By: Ivan Linz / Marilyn and Alan Bergman

Recorded by Manfred Knoop 2009

Make believe we've landed
On a desert island.
Bathe me in the waters,
Warm me in the moonlight.

Taste me with your kisses,
Find the secret places.
Touch me till I tremble,
Free my wings for flying,
And catch me while I'm falling.
Keep your arms around me
Like there's no tomorrow,
Let me know you love me.

On our little island
Not a soul can see us,
teach me how to love you,
Lay your dreams beside me,
Only stars will listen
To our cries and whispers.
You were made to love me
And I was made to love you.
Keep your arms around me.
Make it last forever.

I can see the island,
Shining in the distance.
Now we're getting closer.
Keep your arms around me.
Love we're almost there.

When In Rome

Written By: Cy Coleman / Carolyn Leigh

Alexandra Frederick, vocal

Recorded by Rick Ulfik 2002

When in Spain for reasons I don't explain,
I remain enjoying a brew,
Don't deplore my fondness for Fundador,
You know how a Fundador can lead to a few.
And baby, When In Rome I do as the Romans do.

If perchance, I'm saying farewell to France,
And romance drops in from the blue,
Chere amour, I beg of you please endure
My taking a brief detour
With somebody new,
It's just that When in Rome
I do as the Romans do.

And though from Italy, I lie to you prettily,
Why think of me bitterly,
You know that I'm true,
'Cept now and then in Rome,
I get that old yen in Rome,
And naturally, When In Rome I do as the Romans do.

If I write happily, best wishes from Napoli,
Don't cable me snappily, to tell me we're through.
'Cos now and then in Rome,
In somebody's den in Rome,
Well pusscat then in Rome I do as the Romans,
Disregard the signs and the omens,
When in Rome I do as the Romans do.
I do as the Romans do!

Georgia On My Mind

Written By: Hoagy Carmichael

Alexandra Frederick, vocal
Tsuyoshi Furutsu, guitar

Recorded by Rick Ulfik, 2002

Georgia, Georgia,
The whole day through
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia On My Mind,
Georgia On My Mind.

Georgia, Georgia,
A song of you,
Comes as sweet and clear
As moonlight through the pines.

Other arms reach out to me,
Other eyes smile tenderly,
But in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you.

Georgia, Georgia,
No peace I find,
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia On My Mind.
