"N/A in THQ's"

We have a winner!

THQ Games, GameSpot, and MP3.com have chosen a winner for the Punisher contest we ran a few months back. The lucky winning band gets its song included in the soundtrack for the game, a copy of the game, and a fancy Dolby Surround system, plus some major bragging rights. We received hundreds of entries, and the judges at THQ had a hard time choosing, but here it is, the winning song of the Punisher Video Game Music Contest: "One Way Street" by songwriters Alex Berne and Jean-Marc Berne.

Bio

Formerly known as the band N/A (Not Applicable), Alex Berne has emerged as a solo artist and found his home in NYC, performing at such historical clubs as Downtime, CBGB’s, CB’s 313 Gallery, and the Continental. Alex Berne has been featured in an online broadcast on MusicTv.com, as well as several webcasts on CBGB.com. Additionally, he has received airplay in Connecticut on WKSS 95.7, WHUS 91.7, in Maine on WRFR 93.3, in the Dominican Republic on VIVA 94.1, in the Philippines, as well as 1800CALLATT Internet Radio.

As Alex Berne's performance résumé increased, so too did his set lists. With the help of his brother Jean-Marc, Alex has grown his music repertoire exponentially. Together, the two brothers have surfaced as a songwriting powerhouse waiting to take the world by storm. Though in the meantime, this songwriting team is focusing its energy on launching Alex's career as an artist.

In the late winter of 2002, Alex Berne recorded his first two full-length albums, "One Way Street" and "The Wind". In April 2003, he recorded his first live album, "Live at Pius X." In 2004, Alex went back into the studio to begin work on his latest album, with the help of producer Janko R. In October 2004, the band was chosen to have their song, "One Way Street", to be a part of THQ's video game, "The Punisher" set for a January 2005 release. Currently in the studio working on a full length album, the band is eager to get back to their roots and start performing again.
