Alex Carruthers

An upbeat outlook on life, a unique acousti-blues style guitar coupled with an interesting lyrical equation topped with creamy smooth melodies is the most appetizing description of this young singer/songerwriter.
A Cincinnati native and a product of a music family, Alex has been writing and performing songs since the age of 16. He attended Holy Cross College in South Bend, IN where he played reguarly on the Campus of Notre Dame University at Legends Bar, a campus hot spot for any visiting act. There, he also was a regular musical guest on the student run NDTV, as well as a few satelitte radio shows.
Now back in Cincinnati, Alex plays reguarly thoughout the city and is currently recording his second demo. The first, entitled "In Two or aThree Words" refering the title of the songs on it, was released in 2007. The new demo will display a much different, more mature and raw sound featuring more intricate guitar and a powerful melody. Alex is a lively and high energy performer who is as much to watch as he is to listen to.
