Morning

Written By: Alex Giordani

Morning
(Words and Music Alessandro Giordani)

Morning,
Every day you look around
Falling, falling on a dirty ground
Morning
Music plays inside your head
Crawling, crawling on an empty bed

Every single day is a little bright spark
Is a number on a calendar’s page
But every single day is a very good chance to feel

This will never be the promised land
But the world you make
With the dreams you break
You don’t know what it means to be just a man
The plans you make
The bad mistakes

Morning
The mirror says you’re still alive
Glowing
The little glow that’s in your eyes
Morning, traffic noise beneath your feet
Talking, TV talks about your needs

Every single day is a little bright spark
Is a number on a calendar’s page
But every single day is a very good chance to live

You don’t want to be in the promised land
But in the world you make
With the dreams you chase
You don’t know what it means to be just a man
The words you say
The fears you face

Looking for a brighter day
But it just can be now
Maybe somehow
It could be a better day
With time that slips away
No that won’t change
It’s the price that you pay
Drink every single drop of life
No reason to find
No reason to find

Every day you look around
Your feet on the ground
Your arms in the sky
Every day you look around
Your feet on the ground
Your arms in the sky

Those days are gone

Take my hands
And show me the richness that lies behind
Your eyes
A faint smile
Enlightens your face like a careless child

The world can wait
Forget the grief and the suffered harm

See the daylight glimmer
See the darkness fading out

And there’s no one here
No one who claims to be pitiful
And there’s no men’s fault
Those days are gone
Turn back and stay until dawn

Raise your head
The past is a stormcloud that shed your sky
The rain
On your bed
Drowned your defence in the gloomy night

Now you can stay
You can dance around
You can heal your heart

Feel the southern wind blow
Feel the warmth beneath your skin

And there’s no one here
No one who claims to be innocent
And there’s no men’s fault
Those days are gone

No more fear
No one who left disappointed hopes
And there’s no men’s fault
Those days are gone
Turn back and wait until dawn

A fleeting glance

Written By: Alessandro Giordani

A fear
A choice you can’t bear
The courage to dare
A little step to move ahead

But you shrink
From the ones you could trust
The lies and the busts
You’re afraid of what you’ve lost

A fleeting glance and then you’re gone
I left a passage for you
I left a passage for you

Tell me when we’ll meet again
Tell me what you’re trying to defend
The shelter that you made
The illusion to be safe

Your dreams
Are where you can hide
Your balance still right
But what you feel is what you fight

A fleeting glance and then you’re gone
I got a message for you
I got a message for you

Tell me when we’ll meet again
Tell me why you said the word end
The reason you pretend
That I won’t understand

Tell me when I meet you again
I saw it for the time of a breath
The glimmer in your eyes wasn’t fake
Tell me when I meet you again

It’s pressing on you
It takes a second to come out
And it’s coming out
It’s coming out
It’s coming out

I know that I will meet you again
Tell me why you said the word end
The reason you pretend
That love could never mend

One road

Written By: Alessandro Giordani

One road through many lanes
Dust above the trails, bushes full of thorns
And so we’ve crossed a tangled labyrinth
Climbed a slope so steep, stumbled in our dreams

This is our long way, this is what we pace
Running and slowing, it’ll never be the same

There’ll be days when the sun won’t come
The wind will blow a gale
There’ll be times when the rain will flood
Our secret hopes
This walk will never break ‘till it’s done

A white rose, a step to take
On holy ground, a light that couldn’t fade
The words that we’re saying echoed all day
Drink a glass of wine
Touch your hands again

This is our own place, this is what we made
Toiling and resting, it’ll never be the same

There’ll be days when I’ll leave this home
And walk alone away
There’ll be answers we’ll never know
When distance grows
Please help me to return to your door

We run after these years like rivers flowing away
There’s no turning back, no sweet regrets,
No second best, no unspoken words

There’ll be days when the sun won’t come
The wind will blow a gale
There’ll be times when the rain will flood
Our secret hopes
This walk will never break till it’s done

There’ll be things that we couldn’t have
Or simply care again
There are treasures we only share
Those precious gems
Are stolen from the heart of a man

One road and many streets
When you feel unsure
You just lean on me

One in a million

Written By: Alessandro Giordani

Don’t tell a lie
To blame yourself
Don’t need to hide
Your own mistakes
And don’t ever look back for
The reason you’ve found
You just wonder how

To be someone
To be like everybody else
To be believed
To be the one who comes first
To be different but not worse
To be safe
To be one in a million
Here

Don’t stand aside
And watch the game
Don’t be afraid
When you say your name
And don’t ever feel so sad
It happens somehow
But you’re trying now

To be someone
To be an alien on earth
To be naive
To be the one who gets lost
To be the song you love the most
To be special
To be one in a million

And don’t ever look back for
The rain and the clouds
You just wonder how

To be someone
To be like everybody else
To be esteemed
To be the one who comes first
To be different but not worse
To be a friend and
To be one in a million

To be yourself
To be that face in the crowd
To be a winner
Somehow
Somehow
To be awake and
To be one in a million
One in a million
One in a million

Message to the sky

Written By: Alessandro Giordani

Cruel
Cruel world
If there’s a place where you’d like to be
If there’s a perfect time
Time to live

In a draining watercourse
You see your face
See your soul
You take away the rust
And wash away the dust

You don’t believe in their truths
But in yours and you won’t explain

You don’t even try
You’ve written in the wind
A message to the sky
A message to the sky

And you really want to go
Through the doors that someone closed
The streets where you have been/were growing up
The walls, the falls and the rise

Where is your past?
Where your future begins?
You turn your eyes to the sun
Your fingers write a question mark

It’s time to sit and listen
No doubts
No words to say

You don’t even try
It’s written in the wind
A message to the sky
A message to the sky

But there are millions steps on this ground
There are millions hands
They’re scratching the sky
Your only ground
Your only sky
Your only answer

You don’t need a try
It’s written in the wind
A message to the sky

And it’s gone
You don’t see it so high
It’s blowing in the wind
A message to the sky

Higher desire

Written By: Alex Giordani

Higher Desire

Tonight you want
A vision of your life
Your mind is free
The hells are gone

The city streets
Are little points of light
The lands are seas,
The seas unknown

Can’t it be this way?
It’s simple but is lost
It’s what you see,
And that’s enough
It’s what you feel,
That lifts you up

Man will never fly
And that is all
You think it’s wrong
You’re blinded by a higher desire
To be the only one

It’s all so real
In this limitless blue sky
The soul is healed
The guilt is gone

And you can be
All the people they might like
But nothing can change
No, nothing can change
Tonight
Silence seems the only word to speak
It’s what you feel,
That lifts you up

Man will never fly
And he will fall
To the ground
Blinded by the higher desire
To be the only one

You don’t know how many times you tried
Never know how many times you tried
You don’t know how many times you tried
Never know how many times you tried
And that is all
You’ll never know
Blinded by a higher desire
To be the only one
The only one

Seven

Written By: Alex Giordani

I tried to make it
I tried to stay awake
I don’t mean I am faking
I might go to change it

‘Cause I am running out of hope
And I am losing ground
I’ve had enough
I rhyme a nonsense
Along, along

“Seven years before a time machine
Seven mansions for a beauty queen
Seven million working eight till four
Seven singers waiting out the door”

And I know I try to sing along
Hello hello

I tried to make it
I tried to clean the stage
I won’t mess with raiders
I can’t stand the failures

And I am cutting through the crowd
To join the escape of cosmonauts
It’s all a nonsense
Along, along

“Seven years before a time machine
Seven mansions for a beauty queen
Seven millions working eight till four
Seven singers waiting out the door”

Cause I watched it on a TV show
“Hello, hello”

“Seven years before a time machine
Seven mansions for a beauty queen
Seven millions working eight till four
Seven singers waiting out the door”

And I know I try to sing along
Hello hello

“Seven reasons for a mystery
Seven seasons on the roman hills
Seven mirrors laying on the floor
Seven singers going out the door”

It isn't a crime

Written By: Alex Giordani

It isn’t a crime

The night is unreal
But has got the perfect feel
All the problems that you bring
They don’t really matter
You wave the people and say “we’re all
Yeah we’re all together”

You ride on the back seat
And you’re laughing at the strong wind
‘Cause you fly for the first time
It seems to be in someone else’s life
This isn’t a crime

The night is unreal
You got the perfect fit
Feel the leather on your skin
And it’s getting better
Meeting lovers, friends and talk
“yes we know each other”

You shake as the drum beats
And you jump into the music
Someone falls on the dance floor
And you’re flashing in the mirror
You stay until the daylight
It seems to be in someone else’s life
And this isn’t a crime

You slide on your heels and breathe slow
Give another warm kiss and say “hello”
You crashed every time you stood up
Then you learned to walk
You were bad every time you said no
Then you learned to talk
The night is unreal
And you got the perfect fit

You ride on the back seat
And you’re laughing/shouting in/at the strong wind
You shake as the drum beats
And you’re jumping into the music
Someone falls on the dance floor
And you’re flashing in the mirror
You’re the star on this great night
You’re crying in the moonlight
It seems to be in someone else’s life
And this isn’t a crime

Our Monday

Written By: Alex Giordani

Our Monday

Wake up tomorrow
Wake up in a dream
Wake up to reveal where you strayed
Where you’ve only been

The lights are down
Before we go

You could never live to be afraid
And I won’t carry on

Tonight there’s something missing

Oooh we’re looking at the silent streets
And we know
We got to wait our Mon day
Oooh we’re fragile like the autumn leaves
And we know
We got to wait our Monday
We got to wait our Monday

Wake up tomorrow
Wake up from a lie
Wake up to be unconscious
‘Hey it’s me
I want you to be alive’

The lights are down
Before the show

You could never live to build your cage
My hands keep aching more

The night has something missing

Oooh we’re looking at the walls of grey
And we know
We got to wait our Monday
Oooh we’re distant like the ocean waves
And we know
We got to wait our Monday
We got to wait our Monday

Wake up tomorrow
Wake up in a dream
Wake up to defeat the ghosts you chased
You could never win

The lights are down
Before we go

You could only live to be yourself
Live to be yourself
Live to be yourself

Oooh we’re looking at the silent streets
And we know
We got to wait our Monday
Oooh we’re trembling like the autumn leaves
And we know
We got to wait our Monday
We got to wait our Monday
We share a fragile promise

White

Written By: Alex Giordani

White

Still
Now you don’t need to fight anymore
Now that you’ve run for so long
You left your wings and learnt to fly

It’s your soul
White as a shell in a crystal sea
Bright when you set yourself free
Like a whisper in the night
Light as the touch of a butterfly

You see white as you wake up
You said it’s time
To go there alone
You see white as He says
“How long ago”
When everything falls
Today
You wonder why anymore

Still,
Now, no matter what secrets remain untold
White as you walked through the door
It’s only you and no one else
Another road another land

You see white as you wake up
You said it’s time
To go there alone
You see white as He says
“How long ago”
When everything falls
Today
You won’t ask why anymore

You’re there
Everything changes but you
Your life and your dreams
Your faith and your limits
Nothing’s to be wasted and lost away

You see the glow of sunny days
Tracing the lines of a human face
You see white as He says
“How long ago”
When everything falls
When everything falls
You wonder why anymore

Ghosts and heroes

Written By: Alex Giordani

Ghosts and heroes

I met my ghosts
I met my heroes
I watched the world
In broken mirrors
And I’ve seen what
Is between the lines
But I am still surprised
So many fears
We’re going blind
In labyrinths of life

Don’t cry
The night will shade it all
You try
You’ve got to save this never ending love
Love
This love
This love

I met my ghosts
I met my heroes
I made my toss
To win for real
And I have been told
What should be right
But I can’t still decide
Between your dreams
Or compromise
Too late to be in time

Don’t hide
‘Cause I won’t let you fall
This time
The night will seem much better than before

Hold on before it’s over
Hold on before it’s over

Don’t cry
The night will shade it all
You try
You’ve got to save this never ending love
Love
This love
This love

Forget my faults

Written By: Alex Giordani

Forget my faults

How can I believe in poets and dreamers
They’ll never know
Lying, deceiving, hurting and healing
A foolish higher love

Feelings like shattered glasses
I’ll pick the pieces up
Yes I’ll do it all
I’ll do it all now
With my bare hands, I’ll do

How long?
How long to forget my faults?
I still want
Another chance, another dawn
You’ll see the man that you know
Just give me a minute of love

How can I believe in miracles’ preachers
They’ll never know
Draining and feeding, blaming, concealing
A foolish higher love

Feelings like shattered glasses
I’ll pick the pieces up
Yes I’ll do it all
I’ll do it all now
With my bare hands, I’ll do

How long? How long to forget my faults?
I still want another chance, another dawn
You’ll see the man that you know
Just give me a minute of love

No heart is broken
No heart is broken
But you’ll leave
An indelible scar on me
And the weight of regrets

How can I believe in slanderous cheaters
They’ll never know
A simple love, a deep emotion
I’ll touch the brittle face
Yes I’ll do it all
I’ll do it all now
With my bare hands, I’ll do

How long? How long to forget my faults?
I still want another chance, another dawn

How long?
I don’t wanna beg no more
I see now
The sunny day, the brighter glow
Here we are in an ordinary life
Of golden seas and painted skies
Here we are in an ordinary world
Of silent fears and never spoken words
