"Alex Gordon Hi-Fi"

Alex Gordon Hi-Fi’s mellow sound has taken his band throughout the country making appearances at coffee shops and festivals. The stay-at-home Dad’s most recent release, “Stock Footage,” is definitely an album you can throw in the CD player and let play. The 11-track release is full of smooth sounds and mature lyrics to help you chill out. While not exactly fitting a genre, his music is uplifting yet calm. What is very evident throughout the album is Gordon’s impressive strumming. He opts for a finger style method of playing which leaves you with an updated and impressed outlook on acoustic guitarists. —AE - On Tap Magazine

Bio

Have you ever had a song that takes you back to that movie you loved every time you hear it? Can you remember a set of lyrics that you relate to so strongly that you feel like the song was written about you and your own personal struggle or success? Or have you experienced a musician who so clearly commands his/her instrument you sit in amazement and can’t wait to see what comes next? Alex Gordon takes his unique guitar style, inspired lyrics, arranging skills and breaks barriers in his instrumentation, lyrics, and songwriting. There is no genre for Alex Gordon Hi-Fi because there is something for everyone.

Because of influences from Hank Mobley to The Meters to June Christy to Gontiti to Lex Baxter, Alex's playing has a new but familiar quality. He knew he was destined to play the guitar when he first saw Marty McFly blow out Doc's amp in Back to the Future. He's been addicted to his instrument ever since. There is nothing that Alex enjoys more than connecting with an audience of 10 or 1,000 and sharing his passion and reason for living. Fans know that they will have an experience into the inner workings of the music when they come to see him perform, and that is why they keep coming back. It is often heard that a live performance of Alex's can be magical; there is always something more to be shared and the audience is often left with wanting more.
