Alex Hayes was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Since early childhood, music has been his main interest in life. From banging on pots and pans to acquiring his first drum set, at the age of 5 years old, Alex was destined for stardom. As a drummer, Alex began learning several different styles of music ranging from Country, Rock, to Latin influenced grooves. Shortly after, Alex joined a 50s review band at the young age of thirteen. This was the catalyst that started to shape Alex Hayes into the musician he is today. During High School, Alex joined several local bands in the Orlando rock scene. As a drummer he played with many popular local acts and preformed in various local venues. Moreover, Alex has won the Battle of the Bands, a prestigious Orlando local band event, twice with two different bands. Shortly after, Alex began to write, arrange and sign his own music. He began to learn vocal harmonies and chord structures, which fortified him as a talent front man. Musical influences such Rick Springfield and Sammy Hagar redefined stage performance and encouraged Alex to strive for nothing less. Alex has played with several big local acts and has played in popular local and surrounding venues such as the House of Blues, Hard Rock Live and many others. His biggest achievement to date has been his run with the Not So Boy Band. As a member of the group, Alex wrote and co-produced NSBs music. As the opening act for popular boy band NSYNC, Alex preformed all over United States on two major tours. He has preformed in venues ranging from arenas to stadiums with crowds ranging from 20 to 60 thousand. As a member of NSB, Alex has been on several different radio shows and has appeared on television shows such as Regis and Kelly, The Other Half, E-Extra, VH1, and Fox Affiliate television. NSB also appeared in many newspapers articles and magazines such as People Magazine. Since his run with NSB, Alex noticed that his songwriting was based on emotions and real life situations. He has been a fan of Country Rock Bands since the earliest 80s were he listened to bands like The Kentucky Headhunters and love the style of Little Texas. As the years had gone buy Country Music has change a bit, bringing Country Music to arenas all over United States with theatrical styles and more commercial kind of music. Some of these artists that bring this style to the table are, Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts and many others. After listening to the style of Country Music today, Alex realized that his style of writing was perfect for contemporary Country Music audiences. Alex has been analyzing all the styles of many of today Country Music artist in order to develop his own style. The product is a contemporary Country Music style unique to Alex Hayes COUNTRY HAYES STYLE that is appropriate title of his recent album. Alex, also plays Keyboards Piano, Bass, and Guitar. In one of Alexs later production his taking the roll of writing, producing and playing must of the instruments. With his new production, "You Get What You Want," Alex hopes this is what propels him for the possibility of landing a record deal with a major label and achieving his life long dream.
