The Humans

Formed in 2012 with Alex Hoffer, Brad Surinak, Josh Hanchar, Maurice Jones and Kevin Davidson. The Humans have now assembled an impressive unit of sound makers that bring to life a mixture of Blues/Funk/Pop/Rock/ and Jam music. Together, the band shares over 60 years of music playing experience. This group is led by lead singer, Alex Hoffer and is his first venture in to steady band music after years as a solo artist. He, Brad Surinak, and Josh Hanchar were the beginnings of this funky band not even a year ago and after playing a few shows, they decided it was time to do some recording. Shortly thereafter, Maurice Jones and Kevin Davidson became part of the group and solidified the last touches to The Humans future sound.

In the first year of they're existence on the Chicago music scene, The Humans won the 312 Battle of The Bands at The Cubby Bear and earned their spot to play at the Summer Camp Music Festival in May of 2012 and were a part of a festival that had such bands as Jane's Addiction, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Gov't Mule and Uphree's McGee.

Alex Hoffer & THE HUMANS are now in production of their first album, "Awake & Still Dreaming", which upon completion will be available on iTunes and CDBaby. With the ability to captivate quickly, The Humans are as excited as their fans about the future and it's only just beginning.
