Country/Rock singer and guitar player with a gospel background, songwriter, performer, player of 14 instruments, dog lover.

Biography

Alex Inman is a rock/country singer with a soulful Memphis background. As a guitarist, he has played behind legend, Aaron Neville, and Memphis super group, Sound Fuzion. As an artist, he has opened up for the Florida Georgia Line and shared the stage with R&B singer, Coffey Anderson.

Alex's songwriting developed as he learned how to sing southern gospel music from his parents. His family has contributed greatly to the gospel music industry as writers and performers, but no accomplished musicians. Alex broke the mold and became an accomplished guitarist learning by ear while taking on other instruments like the piano, bass, drums, mandolin, and banjo. By learning from some of his favorite musicians like Brad Paisley and Keith Urban, he took a liking to writing and performing his own tunes.

Shortly after starting college, Alex self recorded, engineered, and produced his debut country album, "American Girl," (2012), with the help of a few musician friends. Alex has recently started co-writing and is constantly developing his songwriting craft.

In 2013, Alex Inman was asked to be apart of a local organization called "Musicians for LeBohneur," a children's hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Alex, along with 40+ other Memphis artists in dozens of genres came together to create a diverse compilation album and raising money via concerts around the city. This was a way Alex thought he could give back to the hospital that saved his youngest brother's life after he was found at the bottom of a swimming pool at the age of two. There has always been a strong connection with LeBohneur children's hospital and Alex was excited to be a part of it.

Alex's sophomore album, "Better Than," is set to release in October 2013 and is sure to be a record Alex will not forget. Alex played 14 different instruments and sang all of the vocal parts in his bedroom on a laptop, a place he could be alone and create a sound that is Alex Inman.

Lyrics

Find Love Again

Written By: Alex Inman

Verse 1
She spends her nights crying, crying over you
And she finds herself wondering what did she do
Well it didn't take too much to make a woman doubt herself
But you made it look too easy when you let her down

Chorus
But when you think she'll never cross your mind, think again
That's when you'll find out what you lost
All the freedom that you're longing for, well, you've got it now
But that's when the loneliness sets in
Now you won't face her, she can't see you like this
You'll bow out quietly, but she'll find love again

Verse 2
She finds herself laughing a little more everyday
Oh and every time she goes out, she glows in every way
Well it didn't take too much to get you off of her mind
She ain't coming back, she'll be just fine

Chorus
But when you think she'll never cross your mind, think again
That's when you'll find out what you lost
All the freedom that you're longing for, well, you've got it now
But that's when the loneliness sets in
Now you won't face her, she can't see you like this
You'll bow out quietly, but she'll find love again

Bridge
What's the use in being right
(Find love again)
Making her feel small all the time
Better luck next time (luck next time)
I thought tough guys don't cry
Better now than never to show your human side

Chorus
But when you think she'll never cross your mind, think again
That's when you'll find out what you lost
All the freedom that you're longing for, well, you've got it now
But that's when the loneliness sets in
Now you won't face her, she can't see you like this
You'll bow out quietly, but she'll find love again
Find love again (Find love again)
She'll find love again, yeah.

Let's Say Goodbye (feat. Kyndle McMahan)

Written By: Alex Inman

Verse 1
Let's stop pretending that we worked it out
Let's stop believing we're good
Let's stop pretending that you're meant for me and I'n meant for you

Pre-chorus
I know what to say to make it all better, I know what to say but I won't
I know what to do to keep you from walking out, I know what to do but I won't

Chorus
Let's say goodbye and go our separate ways
Let's say goodbye and unchain our hearts
Let's say goodbye and never come back
Like we've done a thousand times
There's no need in crying, there's no need in playing this game anymore
Let's say goodbye

Verse 2
I've never regretted all that I said
What I told you "I love you," I meant it
But as life unfolded, so did our love couldn't keep holding on like this

Pre-chorus
I know what to say to keep you believing, I know what to say but I won't
I know what to do to keep us from crashing down, I know what to do but I won't

Chorus
Let's say goodbye and go our separate ways
Let's say goodbye and unchain our hearts
Let's's say goodbye and never come back
Like we've done a thousand times
There's no need in crying, there's no need in playing this game anymore
Let's say goodbye

Chorus
Let's say goodbye and go our separate ways
Let's say goodbye and unchain our hearts
Let's's say goodbye and never come back
Like we've done a thousand times
There's no need in crying, there's no need in playing this game anymore
Let's say goodbye

Fantasy World

Written By: Alex Inman, Graham Inman

Verse 1
I must be dreaming, this just can't be real
And I've gotta be waking up any minute now
Cause she's sitting by me holding hands and counting stars
And I'm asking if it's real

Pre-chorus
She's everything I love and everything I'm not
And when I hold her close I'm floating on a cloud

Chorus
It might be crazy but I think just maybe I'm
Falling for a girl like her watching her sleep on my arm and watch the
Sunset, it's getting close and I'm
Kissing her goodnight on her daddy's front porch, getting in her car and calling her on her phone
Living in a fantasy world

Verse 2
This feeling deep inside me is one I've never known
And I've given her my heart and I don't want it back
Yeah my head is spinning, can't shake these butterflies
My heart is racing every time

Pre-chorus
When she takes my hand
And when I pull her in
When I see the sparks fly
The feelings come again

Chorus
It might be crazy but I think just maybe I'm
Falling for a girl like her watching her sleep on my arm and watch the
Sunset, it's getting close and I'm
Kissing her goodnight on her daddy's front porch, getting in her car and calling her on her phone
Living in a fantasy world
