Exploding out of South Central Los Angeles is Alex Mac. By 2006 He took to the chitlin circuit with a band by the name of cupids bullet. Following moderate success the band went on hiatus. After a couple years behind the scenes working under the radar with Aftermath Songwriters; He wrote and recorded the “have a good one” Project. Alex Mac’s first single from that project “Ghostwriter” reached #1 on The Michael Jay Show. Now being backed by his new band Dub 4:15 every show is electric. His music is a perfect blend of 90's hip hop, and modern day mainstream. He is on a quest of evolution hell bent on breaking open that box open. Alex Mac has started a “Rhythm Renaissance” of sorts, to bring substance & respect back to the genre. With his mainstream delivery, freestyle ability, musical knowledge, lyrical approach, infectious hooks, live performances, and 1950’s themed fashion. He takes his fans back to a simpler time of Diana Dors, Teddy Boys, Handle Bars, smoker jackets, wingtips, saddle shoes, Levi’s, and homburg’s.
