Bio
Born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Alex Marianyi began playing saxophone at the age of 11. After trying to quit saxophone for several years, he finally gave in and ended up at Columbia College Chicago, where he's currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jazz Studies. In his spare time, Alex can be found having spirited debates about arts education and the role of jazz music in American society.
