"NYC Must Sees - Time Out NY"

Brooklyn talent Alex Nackman has the looks and drive to one day perform a set of tuneful jangly ballads at whatever 'One Tree Hill's' version of the Peach Pit After Dark is. - Time Out New York

"Atlanta Sound Menu"

..."unpretentious pop-folk from this fresh-faced New Yorker clicks...Only 21, he's already toured Europe and done a club residency in Florence, Italy. Upbeat and tuneful, Nackman's music and personality exude a breezy innocence that is contagious, if not terribly unique. " - Creative Loafing Music Atlanta

"NYC Nights"

"With the release of his 2nd literate recording, A BOY WHO THOUGHT HE KNEW," it is clear that Alex Nackman does know. The 21 year old's ballads click, and should make O.C. fans pleased. " - Newsday New York

"Live!"

“The sensitive (and adorable in that uncorrupted kind of way) New York native shares honest stories about the ups and all too frequent downs of young adulthood that we can all relate to.” - Bill Picture at the San Francisco Examiner

"In London - BBC Music"

“Nackman, a New Yorker, dishes acoustic fired gems...” - BBC Music News, London UK

"Stage"

“With his 4th album,
'Sunrise Falls,' Nackman sings emotional and memorable folk/pop fare.” - Fibbers Review, York, England

"'Round Leeds"

“Lyrically, think Simon and Garfunkel 1972 in Washington Square. Melodically, Nackman evokes a unique and rather modern Brit-rock sound that stays with the listener. - Leeds Music Scene Online, Leeds, England

"Notable Album Releases in '05"

When listening to New York City singer/songwriter Alex Nackman’s third CD release A Boy Who Thought He Knew, I hear the voice of Robert Frost’s narrator in his landmark poem “The Road Not Taken” ringing in my head. With a similar sound to songwriters such as Matt Wertz & Dave Barnes, Nackman has created an album worth of easy and comfortable acoustic pop songs; the kind that you find yourself singing long after you’ve turned the music off. There’s that something, though, that makes A Boy Who Thought He Knew sound unique, leading the listener down a path that is wanting wear. Nackman’s witty writing could easily be that “something.” He takes the proverbial road less traveled both lyrically and melodically. Smart stylistic sound arrangements augment his writing, showing the promise this young songwriter has to offer. - Krissie Callahan at Just Another Song (www.justanothersong.com)

"Live August 2005"

New York City based singer/songwriter Alex Nackman is currently touring the UK with his own brand on new – folk. Think Simon and Garfunkel in Washington Square Park, circa 1972. - BBC Music UK

"Focus Gigs"

"Nackman's youthful good looks and stage presence compliment his lush acoustic rhythms." - Manchester Gigs UK, Richard Cheetham
