Bio
Alex Robshaw is a writer, a composer, and a performer from Montreal, Canada. Raised in a family of musicians, Alex Robshaws training began when she was very young, and she has been active for quite a long time. After many professionnal experiences between 2004 and 2006, Robshaw decided to focus on her solo career. She released two EPs a self-titled demo in 2007 and the CD/DVD DeTales, in 2009. In November 2010, Robshaw began the production of her first full-length album, 1339 Crowders End, which was released two years later on November 3rd, 2012.
1339 Crowders End is fully-loaded with collaborations with many of Montreals finest musicians. The powerful album stands as a token staple in 21st-century music, innovatively gathering inspiration from the modernism movement of the early 1900s, 90s alternative hardcore and heavy rock, funk, and trip hop. Complete with a 36-page booklet featuring the lyrics of every song as well as short-stories written for 13 of its 15 tracks, 1339 Crowders End opens the door to Alex Robshaws multi-faceted, prolific creative universe.
