Bio
The band Alex Sutherlin Project a.k.a. ASP, formed in September of 2007, was created on the basis to produce and perform original arrangements of already known Jazz Standards, some in real time. The mission since then has driven us to create original Jazz, Fusion and Funk inspired music. The groove is what moves our Project and our fans.
ASP is comprised of musicians with inspirations and experience from all types of genres. Collectively we bring in experience from the likes: Rock, Funk, Fusion, Heavy Metal, Progressive Rock, Electronica, Be-Bop, Latin, Smooth Jazz, Blues, Swing, Hip-Hop, R&B, Jam, Big Band, and Free-style. We are music-lovers ourselves and strive to perform the most original and unforgettable music. Our explorative nature with time, rhythm, harmony, melody, and improvisation will hopefully put us among the ranks someday to the many Jazz and Indie lovers.
